A young woman, Viola is shipwrecked on the shore of a foreign country. To survive she disguises herself as a boy and offers herself as a page at Duke Orsino's court. He, much taken with her/him, sends her as his ambassador of love to the Lady Olivia, who has refused his advances. Olivia falls for the young messenger and Viola is entangled in a bewildering confusion of mistaken identity and unrequited love.
One of Shakespeare's best-loved plays 'Twelfth Night' is a bittersweet examination of the human heart.
