Steve McCurry - In Person
*** This event is now sold out ***
Steve McCurry, best known for his 1984 portrait of the green-eyed Afghan girl, will deliver a talk and Q&A session to coincide with the first commercial exhibition of his work currently showing at the Magnum Print Room, London.
Famed for his distinct visual language and ability to represent the human condition, McCurry's work is contemplative and self-contained. His style is based upon strong composition and jewel like colours and is a celebration of racial diversity.
McCurry is an acclaimed photojournalist and his work is featured regularly in National Geographic, Newsweek and Time. He is the author of several books including the recent In the Shadow of the Mountains (Phaidon 2007), of which a large selection of portaits and landscapes in the current exhibition has been sourced.
"I look for the unguarded moment... experience etched on a person's face... the human condition"
