Design for Dance

The Peter Williams Design for Dance Collaboration celebrates 20 years of new dance at the Cochrane Theatre this February.

Featuring young choreographers and dancers from three leading London Dance Schools - Rambert School, London Studio Centre and Central School of Ballet - second year students from the BA Theatre: Design for Performance course at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design collaborate to create four new programmes of original dance.

The Peter Williams Design for Dance Project has been in existence for over a decade, during which time it has given literally hundreds of aspiring designers and choreographers their first opportunity to collaborate and realise their vision through the medium of dance. Guided by a professional team of leading practitioners, teachers and technicians, each week the project pairs students from the Design for Performance programme at Central Saint Martins, with student choreographers from leading London dance schools: Central School of Ballet, London Studio Centre and Rambert School.

Performances take place every Thursday and Friday at 7:30pm from 8 February to 2 March
